Our Commitment

OffRamp is built by Port Barley Inc. We believe your health data is deeply personal. Our privacy stance is simple: your data stays on your device. This is not a marketing claim — it is an architectural decision.

OffRamp has:

  • Zero third-party analytics — no Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Google Analytics
  • Zero ad frameworks — no AdMob, Facebook SDK, or Google Ads
  • Zero data sales or sharing — with anyone, ever
  • Zero cross-app or cross-site tracking

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data You Enter in the App

OffRamp collects only the information you explicitly enter:

  • Body weight measurements
  • Hydration logs (water intake)
  • Habit check-ins (binary completion status)
  • Strength training session logs
  • Daily check-in data (hunger, energy, mood ratings)
  • Weekly reflection notes
  • Medication transition dates (target stop date, actual stop date)
  • Profile information (name, medication start date, daily goals)

All of this data is stored locally on your device. It is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.

1.2 Apple HealthKit Data

With your explicit permission, OffRamp can read and write weight and hydration data from Apple HealthKit. This data is used solely to keep your OffRamp logs in sync with your Health app. HealthKit data is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy policies and never leaves your device through OffRamp.

1.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
  • We do not collect usage analytics or behavioral data
  • We do not collect contact information (email, phone) unless you contact support directly
  • We do not use cookies, web beacons, or tracking pixels

2. How Your Data Is Stored

OffRamp uses Apple's SwiftData framework with the following protections:

  • File-level encryption: All data files are protected with NSFileProtectionComplete, meaning data is inaccessible when your device is locked.
  • Application-level encryption: Sensitive free-text fields (such as check-in notes and weekly reflections) are encrypted with AES-256 before being written to storage.
  • Keychain protection: Sensitive keys are stored in the iOS Keychain with kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly.

There is no server, no cloud database, and no remote storage. Your data exists only on the device where you created it.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone. Specifically:

  • We do not sell personal data
  • We do not share data with advertisers
  • We do not share data with analytics providers
  • We do not share data with data brokers
  • We do not share data with affiliated or unaffiliated third parties

The only way your data leaves OffRamp is if you choose to export it (e.g., generating a Doctor Visit Summary PDF to share with your healthcare provider). That action is initiated entirely by you.

4. Subscription & Purchase Data

If you purchase a premium subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive a confirmation that you have an active subscription but do not receive your payment information, credit card number, or Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy governs this transaction data.

5. Children's Privacy

OffRamp is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us at support@offrampapp.com.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data persists on your device for as long as you have the app installed. You can delete individual entries within the app at any time. Uninstalling OffRamp permanently removes all associated data from your device.

Because we do not store your data on any server, there is no remote data to delete. Deletion from your device is complete and final.

7. Your Rights

Because your data never leaves your device, you inherently maintain full control over it. You can:

  • Access all your data within the app at any time
  • Export your data using the app's export feature
  • Delete individual entries or all data at any time
  • Revoke HealthKit permissions through iOS Settings at any time

For users in the European Union, California, or other jurisdictions with specific data protection laws: because we do not collect, store, or process your personal data on our systems, there is no personal data held by Port Barley Inc. to access, correct, or delete. Your data is entirely under your control on your device.

8. App Store Privacy Label

OffRamp's App Store privacy label states: "Data Not Linked to You." This reflects our architecture: we cannot link any data to your identity because we never receive it.

9. Third-Party Services

OffRamp does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The only external integration is Apple HealthKit, which operates under Apple's privacy framework and does not transmit data to us.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you through the app before the changes take effect. We will never retroactively weaken our privacy commitments.
